Stress Free Planning Is PossibleMay 30th, 2016
Questions. There are always questions. And advice from well-intended or just flat out nosey family, friends and people you may not even consider acquaintances. Wedding planning is one of those things that people are just curious about.
But all those questions can be overwhelming, especially when you haven’t started planning yet. Or you have tried to start but felt overwhelmed by all the details. Have no fear – wedding planning may not be easy for you but it can at least be manageable.
Don’t feel bad if you don’t like it. I’ll tell you a secret…I love weddings and events but there are moments when I wonder why I torture myself. They are usually brief moments but they do happen. It is OK for you to have your moments too.
You do need to go into this with a strategy and it is important that you find one that works for you. Your strategy could be hiring a Wedding Planner or Coordinator. You could recruit a few family or friends to help you stay organized. Or you might choose to take a few weeks to research and decide what you want your day to look like and begin to contact vendors to move the planning forward.
If you decide to plan your own wedding, then find a timeline that works for you (search Pinterest or Google) and a wedding day checklist. If you are not one to make decisions quickly, then the more time you probably need to plan. There are few things more stressful than having just a few months to plan when you are indecisive and overthink all decisions. You’ll only end up a nervous wreck and you definitely don’t want to lose a lot of weight or gain a lot of weight due to stress; think of your suit or wedding dress and the cost of alterations.
